A couple nights ago, I made my not so famous Honey-Pecan Pork Chops. Tim loves these chops and even “tweeted” about it on Twitter. One of our Twitter followers @TheBellWitch thought they sounded good and wanted the recipe. So here it is, enjoy!
Honey-Pecan Pork Chops
- 2 bone-in Zweber Farms pork chops
- 4 tablespoons honey, divided. We love using Ames Farm Honey and we buy it at Valley Natural Foods Coop
- 1 tablespoon Organic Valley butter
- 1/4 cup pecans, crushed
- Salt and pepper
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Salt and pepper both sides of the pork chops and place them in a baking dish. Spread two tablespoons of honey over chops. Bake for 30 minutes (or until chops reach an internal temp of 155), turning once. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes. The internal temperature will reach 160 degrees.
Melt butter in pan on stove. Stir in pecans and remaining honey. Stir constantly until pecans are slightly roasted. Pour over chops. Serve immediately. Enjoy with a salad, brown rice and a cold glass of Organic Valley milk.
PS Sorry for lack of farm news. I am waiting for Tim to finish a riveting blog on beneficial bugs. 🙂
