Teaching About Dairy Farming-Wordless (kind of) Wednesday

This week has been full teaching others about dairy. Monday, we had nine ninth graders from our Ag Pen Pal (sponsored by Minnesota Farm Bureau) visit our farm to do some “work.” Actually, they did an awesome job!! We couldn’t have asked for better helpers.

On Tuesday and today, the boys and I (Tim was in the fields) visited our son’s preschool to talk about dairy farming and milk. We read Out and About on a Dairy Farm, looked at feed samples and even petted a baby calf.

Thank you to Midwest Dairy Association and Organic Valley for the donations of tattoos, activity pages, pencils, recipe cards, coupons and of course cheese and milk!
